Strengthening cooperation between SEEE and Bosch Central Research Institute of Germany

On November 7th, 2019, eight experts from the Bosch Central Research Institute (three from Germany and five from China) visited our institute and made in-depthcommunicationwith the team of the Advanced Semiconductor and Packaging Integration Laboratory and the team of the Innovation Motor Technology Research Center. Relevant teachers and students showed the research results in the laboratory in the form of posters and real objects. Kang Yong, Qu Ronghai, Chen Cai, Peng Han, Liang Lin and more than 10 graduate students of our institute participated in the exchange.


Our institute has maintained a long-term friendly and cooperative relationship with Bosch Corporate Research, and the exchanges between the two sides have become more frequent recently.On November 4th, Professor Kang Yong and Associate Professor Liang Lin were invited to Shanghai Bosch (China) Headquarters to participate in the company's Open House Day (Open Day) event.The event invited renowned university experts and scholars from relevant fields in the country to give lectures to Bosch Corporate Research and Bosch technicians from across the country.Prof. Kang Yong gave a report titled “Power Electronics Research Overview and Technology Trends”, and Kang Yong and Liang Lintogether gavea report entitled “High Power Density Inverter Leg for EV Based on Customized SiC Power Module”to exchange on the progress of cooperation projects between the two sides.Since the project was launched, it has been highly recognized by the company and honored as the “star project” of the institute.

In 1909, Bosch entered the Chinese market, producing and selling auto parts and aftermarket products, industrial transmission and control technology, packaging technology, electric tools, security and communication systems, thermal technology and household appliances in China.On September 7 this year, during the delegation led by German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Shao Xinyu, Secretary of the Party committee of the University, introduced the close practical cooperation between our university and Bosch Central Research Institute as a typical case, which was fully affirmed and appreciated by Merkel.
