Fortune(Chinese version) released the latest 40 Chinese Business Elites under-40 on May 14. Li Tong, founder and CEO of Keenon, as well as an alumnus of School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, HUST, has a position on the list.
Li Tong graduated from HUST with the bachelor's degree and the master's degree in Electrical Engineering, in 2006 and 2009, respectively. He studied under the member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and artificial intelligence expert Professor Cheng Shijie. Keenon, founded in 2010 by Li, focuses on R&D and production of indoor unmanned delivery robots. So far, Keenon Robot has iteratively released 9 products, and all of them have achieved offline business scenario landing, which has kept expanding the service areas and application scenarios of unmanned delivery robots effectively. At present, Keenon has cooperated with over 1000 B-end clients, with footprints in 400+ cities across China and more than 20 countries and regions around the world.
In the COVID-19 outbreak, Keenon donates and sends robots to more than 10 provinces and cities, including Hubei, Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Henan, Hunan, Jiangsu, which involves 50+ hospitals and isolation points. According to the actual needs of the hospitals, such as the Huoshenshan and Leishenshan hospitals in Wuhan, Keenon urgently provided medical robot services and solutions.
Li has been interested in AI algorithms since he was a student. He once served as the leader of the robot team in the Science and Technology Innovation Base of Qiming College and won Model of Science and Technology Innovation of the College for two consecutive years. Li studied in the Incubation Team of Microsoft Asia Engineering Institute, participating in the development of the Robotic Studio of Microsoft Robot Operating System. He won the Microsoft Embedded Challenge top five in the world and the first prize of the National Challenge Cup.Served as the manager of theR & D Department of Shanghai Guangmaoda Partner Robot Co., Ltd., Li directly led the R & D of AS-MF09, AS-EI and other robotic systems, and nearly 5000 educational robots have been sold. Li was awarded the NBI "New Business Influencer" in 2017 and the Capek 2019 "Outstanding Entrepreneur Award" in 2019. He has applied for 5 invention patents and 3 utility model patents as the first inventor, among which 4 have been authorized.
