From October 12 to 15, 2019, the 5th China “Internet +” College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Finals was held in Zhejiang University.

The project “Commercialization of Switched Reluctance Motor Drive Controller” from SEEE won the gold medal in the main track of national finals, renewing the record for SEEE in the college students' innovation and entrepreneurship competition series. The project leader is Dr. Huangyuan Wu, and the project instructors include Shuanghong Wang, Jianbo Sun, Wenli Xu and Wei Guo.

Since the launch of the competition in March this year, it has attracted 4.574 million participants with 1.097 million project candidates, making the record for this competition in its history. Nowadays, this competition becomes the premierevent for Chinese universities and their students across the country. In this competition, Huazhong University of Science and Technology won a total of 6 gold awards (ranked #2 in the country), 2 silver and 1 bronze awards. Moreover, our university was awarded two college collective prizes in the main track and “The Journey of Youth Red Dream” track.
